The quickest way to get free printable baby shower games is to download a ready-made set, print one copy per guest, and put a pen on every chair. Six games carry most showers: bingo, word scramble, emoji Pictionary, Mom or Dad, baby predictions, and The Price Is Right. They all print on ordinary letter-size paper, and none of them needs anything beyond a pen.
We put together a free starter pack with five of these games. It does ask for your email, because that’s how we send the download; that’s the only catch. When you want more games or a second color theme, the printable baby shower game packs pick up where the free set stops, and the rest of our baby shower games live on the homepage.
What makes a free printable worth printing?
Most free printables are a single card with no instructions, which leaves the host explaining the rules out loud to a room of people holding coffee. A usable one has an answer key for any game with right and wrong answers, and it has instructions short enough to read aloud without rehearsing. Check the layout before you print, too: half of the free sheets floating around online get cut off at the margins on a home printer.
That’s why every game in our starter pack comes with a Host Guide, a short script covering what to say and how to pick a winner.
Which free printable games are worth the paper?
1. Baby Bingo
Guests mark off gift items on a 5 by 5 card as the mom-to-be opens presents, and the first to get five in a row calls out. It runs itself during gift opening, which is the slowest stretch of most showers. Fill the squares with things people really buy (wipes, a bouncer, a baby monitor) and not with filler.
2. Word Scramble
Ten or so baby words with the letters jumbled, and a pen. Put a copy on each seat so guests have something to do while the rest of the party arrives. Five minutes is plenty; whoever unscrambles the most wins.
3. Emoji Pictionary
Short emoji strings stand for baby items, songs, and phrases, and guests decode them in pairs. It’s the one that gets people talking across the room, and it needs the answer key, since nobody agrees on what a tiny duck and a bathtub mean until someone checks. We wrote a whole list of nursery rhyme emoji puzzles if you want extra rounds.
4. Who Said It: Mom or Dad
Before the shower, ask the parents-to-be to answer a dozen light questions separately: who is more likely to cry at a diaper commercial, who will take the 3am feeding. At the party you read their answers and guests guess who said what. It takes ten minutes and works well with mixed crowds, as we cover in the guide to the mommy and daddy game.
5. Baby Predictions
Each guest writes a guess for the birth date, weight, and first word. Collect the cards in an envelope and hand them to the parents; they open it after the baby arrives. It doubles as a keepsake, which most games don’t.
6. The Price Is Right
Guests guess the price of ten baby items, closest without going over wins. Of these six, it’s the only one that isn’t in the free pack; it’s part of the Ultimate Kit. Pull prices from real receipts or a store’s website the week of the shower, since prices drift.
How do you print them without wasting ink?
Print a single test page first and check the margins. Plain copy paper works fine; cardstock feeds through most home printers if you want something sturdier for the keepsake cards. If the design is color-heavy, switch your printer to draft or grayscale mode for the guest copies and keep one full-color copy for the host.
Print roughly 10 percent more than your guest count. Someone will spill a drink on theirs, and someone else will show up with a plus one.
How many printable games do you need?
For a two-hour shower with 15 to 30 guests, three to five games is the right amount, and we explain the math in how many games to play at a baby shower. If you’d rather start from a longer menu, baby shower games ideas covers non-printable options and our best baby shower games list ranks the crowd favorites.
Frequently asked questions
Are free printable baby shower games really free?
Yes. Our five-game starter pack costs nothing; we ask for your email so we can send the download link. You can print as many copies as you need for your own shower.
Can I print baby shower games on regular paper?
Yes, standard letter-size copy paper works for every game in the starter pack. Use cardstock only for keepsake cards like baby predictions, where sturdier paper holds up better.
Do free printable games work for a virtual baby shower?
Some do. Emoji Pictionary and word scramble work well when you share your screen, and guests can write answers on paper at home. Our guide to virtual baby shower games covers the rest.
How many free games should I print?
Three to five is enough for most showers. Pick one quiet game for arrivals, one for gift opening, and one or two group games for the middle of the party.
